DO I NEED TO PROVIDE A CREDIT CARD IN ORDER TO BOOK MY ROOM?

Yes, in order to guarantee your room, The Last Hotel requires you to provide a credit card number at the time of reservation, either by phone or online. Your credit or debit card will not be charged until you arrive at the hotel unless you select a prepayment option. A $300 security deposit will be required upon check in, it will be released after you leave and your room has been cleaned, and no damage or rules have been broken.

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

The Last Hotel requires that you cancel your hotel room at least 24 hours before your scheduled check-in time (3 p.m. CST on the day of arrival). If you fail to cancel by that time, you’re subject to a cancellation fee up to the cost of the reservation. To cancel your reservation, please find your confirmation number and visit the booking window or call our front desk at 1-314-390-2500.

HOW CAN I MAKE A SPECIAL REQUEST REGARDING MY STAY?

At The Last Hotel, our aim is to make every stay memorable and special. To that end, we will do our very best to accommodate any requests. Special requests can be made while booking your hotel room online or by phone with a guest representative.

CAN I COME TO THE HOTEL WITHOUT A RESERVATION?

Anyone is welcome to visit The Last Hotel. We feature two bar and restaurant spaces along with a retail area we encourage everyone to visit. If you would like to stay at the hotel, please visit the front desk where a guest service representative will be happy to create a reservation for you pending availability.

DO YOU HAVE A LOYALTY PROGRAM?

We do not at this time however frequent guests are subject to occasional surprises and offers.

IS PARKING AVAILABLE ON-SITE?

The Last Hotel offers valet parking. Valet parking is available for $30 per night. Please pull up to the hotel’s front entrance on Washington Avenue to valet your vehicle.

If you will be checking in past 11 p.m. CST, please contact a guest service representative at 1-314-390-2500in order to keep your reservation.

WHEN DO I HAVE TO CHECK OUT?

Check out is at 11 a.m. If you require a late check out, please contact a guest service representative at 1-314-390-2500 and we will do our best to accommodate you. But a Check out after 11am and before 3:00 pm may be subject to a Day Pass fee of $65 based on occupancy and Management discretion.

CAN I LEAVE MY LUGGAGE AT THE FRONT DESK?

We would be happy to look after your luggage and will store it for free of charge on your check-in and check-out days.

DO YOU PROVIDE FREE WIFI?

Wireless internet connection is available for bar, restaurant and hotel guests free of charge.

IS BREAKFAST INCLUDED?

Breakfast is not included in the price of the hotel room but is available from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily in The Pantry and on weekends in our restaurant Ultima Cucina, located on the hotel’s first floor. We also serve Brunch on the weekends.

IS ROOM SERVICE AVAILABLE?

The full room service menu is available from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.

CAN I INVITE GUESTS TO MY ROOM?

We happily welcome your guests in the hotel but they need to be accompanied by the guest who holds the reservation for security purposes, and no Guests on The Last Rooftop. Wristbands are required on the Rooftop.

WHAT ARE THE POOL HOURS?

The pool hours are 10 a.m. CST to 8 p.m. CST for people 21 and older. Pool closes at 5Pm for kids. Pool is open 365 days a year, weather permitting.

WHAT IS THE PANTRY, AND WHAT DO YOU SELL THERE?

The Pantry, located in our main lobby space, is the place to get Breakfast, Lunch, or a snack, treat, or Coffee/Espresso. We have everything from cold drinks and alcohol to soft serve ice cream and lots of quick snacks or fresh fruit.

DO YOU HAVE SMOKING AREAS IN YOUR HOTEL?

We do not allow smoking in public areas or guest rooms at The Last Hotel. City law dictates that you must be 10 feet from all buildings to smoke.

IS IT POSSIBLE TO HAVE A COT IN THE ROOM?

We do offer roll-away beds that are based on availability for $50/night.

WHEN DO I PAY FOR MY STAY?

Payments are authorized when you check into the hotel and you are charged for the cost of your stay upon check out. Any additional charges, including mini bar items, may be charged after that time. Please note that a bank may put a hold on your funds during the authorization process if you’re using a debit card.

History

Formerly a shoe factory, the Last Hotel was originally under the ownership of the prestigious International Shoe Company. As a nod to the hotel’s past life, we named The Last Hotel after a tool frequently used by shoemakers. In order to properly shape the

leather of a shoe, artisans would use a carving of a wooden foot, called a “last,” as a base for the shoe’s construction. Shoemakers think of the last as the “soul of the shoe,” much like we think of The Last Hotel as the soul of St. Louis.

Décor

First built in 1909, the Last Hotel’s historic architectural design gives guests a glimpse into the rich past of St. Louis. Utilizing the Neoclassical and Art Deco movements, the Last Hotel features intricate stone carvings, decorative metalwork, and terrazzo floors all restored to their original glory. While the room interiors required some modern additions, every new inclusion draws inspiration from and honors the hotel’s storied past. The preservation of the building’s construction and use of vintage inspired furnishings has resulted in a true marriage of historic and modern St. Louis. Guests are able to seamlessly experience the atmosphere of a bygone era and the comforts of a present day boutique hotel.

Event Space

As a boutique hotel, the Last Hotel offers a truly unique hosting experience for your next event or wedding. The Last Hotel has two grand ballrooms, each perfect for large-scale events like conferences, weddings, or even family reunions. Watch parties can be hosted in our Star Screening Room which seats 30 and features an 82-inch TV as well as custom catering options. Brides-to-be have the option of booking our Bridal Parlor, where they and their bridesmaids can get ready for the main ceremony.
